Automatic Localization

When a respondent takes a survey, they see not only the content — questions and answer options — but also service interface elements: navigation buttons, hints, and system messages. Pollsar automatically translates all of these into the language of the survey content.

What is localized automatically

The system detects the language of the survey content and applies the corresponding translations to:

  • Navigation buttons (Next, Back, Get Started)
  • Question hints ("Choose one option", "Drag and drop a file or browse")
  • The PIN code entry field ("Enter PIN code")
  • Validation messages
  • The Respondent Terms document, accessible from the survey menu

Why this matters

Without automatic localization, the author would have to manually ensure that all service phrases match the survey language. Pollsar handles this automatically — the author focuses only on the content, not on translating system elements.

Automatic localization of system messages works for all surveys — no additional setup required.

This article is about the localization of service interface elements. Creating multilingual surveys — where the content itself switches between languages — is a separate feature.
